Rohit Sharma is fit for the first t-20, BCCI Confirms


New Delhi: Rohit Sharma got injured during the net session for the 1st t20 to be played at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium, New Delhi against Bangladesh. He was hit at the abnormal during throwdown practice. Before batting in the nets, the batsmen normally face the throwdowns for the proper rhythm. He left the net after this and was a serious concern before the series. The BCCI manager has issued a statement on behalf of the team that Rohit is fit for the first match and will lead the team.

Team India is very serious for the series against Bangladesh. For tackling Mustafizur Rahman, team management has designated a left-arm throwdown expert in Sri Lanka’s Nuwan. Rohit was hit by Nuwan throwdown and wasn’t happy with the pace.

BCCI has clarified, there is no concern about Rohit Sharma’s fitness. Rohit received a hit in his left abdomen. The board has confirmed that Rohit is available for the first T20I of the home series against Bangladesh. In the absence of the captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma has the duty to handle the leadership role in this T20I series. But that incident raised the tension in the Indian dressing room.
