Vijay Hazare Boss Karanveer Kaushal returns in style, Sikkim be ready


Dehradun: Wait is over, Uttarakhand’s most popular batsman Karanvir Khausal returns in style against Arunachal Pradesh in Vijay Hazare Trophy. Karanveer Kaushal scored 86 with the strike rate of 186.96, smashed 12 fours and 5 sixes. He along with Captain Unmukt Chand led the foundation of a win for Uttarakhand. Unmukt Chand scored 87 runs in 57 balls, his second fifty in the tournament. Both had 166 runs partnership for the first wicket. Uttarakhand team was chasing the target of 200 runs, they easily achieved that in 23.2 overs.

Uttarakhand needs to win all the matches to qualify in the next round, they started well after three called off matches. Arunachal Pradesh bowled out for 199 runs in 48.4 overs. Uttarakhand Pradeep Chamoli took 4 wickets whereas Shah and Sudha took 2-2 wickets.

Uttarakhand fans were waiting for Karanveer Kaushal to fire, he is the only batsman to score a double century in Vijay Hazare Trophy’s history. Uttarakhand has to play four more games in the competition and Karanvir form is crucial for a good net run-rate. If we talk about the points table, Pondicherry is on the top, Chandigarh in second place and Uttarakhand in third place. The road for qualify to the knockout seems really tough for the home team.
